On December 14, 2023, Dr. Natworapol Rachsiriwatcharabul, President of Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon, along with the university’s executive team, welcomed General His Serene Highness Prince Chalermseuk Yugala, Advisor to the Army Science Department (Advisor ASD), who visited and studied the university’s projects, discussed research work, and exchanged experiences. The meeting was held at Rajapruekpirom Room, Faculty of Science and Technology, North Bangkok Campus. Also in attendance were Rear Admiral Apirom Ngernbamrung, Director General of the Naval Science Department, Colonel Nantawut Boonyasit, Deputy Director General of the Army Science Department, and officers from both departments.
The visit included a tour of research works and various laboratories of the Faculty of Science and Technology and the Institute of Interdisciplinary Digital and Robotics, Faculty of Engineering. This visit aimed to continue and expand the collaborative efforts initiated in the Memorandum of Understanding on academic and research cooperation between ASD and Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon, signed on December 9, 2022. This cooperation aims to promote research and development of military equipment and enhance the personnel capabilities of both organizations in research, knowledge transfer, training, and services.
As a result of this collaboration, the research project “Development of a Prototype Gas Cylinder Testing System Using Ultrasonic Testing” was initiated by a research team from the Faculty of Science and Technology and the Army Science Department. This project is expected to benefit both the organizations and the nation in the future.
