Assistant Professor Sarathat Kaengpenge, Assistant to the President for Student Affairs at Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP), stated that developing students into desirable graduates is one of the university’s main missions. Recognizing that knowledge gained in the classroom alone is not sufficient for education, students need social skills acquired through experiential learning and other sources to adapt to the changing world. Therefore, the Student Development Division organized the “Green Planting, Restoring Canals” project for the second time on January 21, 2022, at the Sirindhorn International Environmental Park in Cha-am, Phetchaburi. The project included various activities such as tree planting, releasing animals back to the sea, and coastal cleanup. These activities are essential for the environment, particularly in absorbing carbon dioxide, a significant greenhouse gas. They contribute to the restoration of marine resources, making the marine environment more sustainable. Engaging students in this project helps instill environmental awareness and a sense of responsibility while creating community benefits.
