Dr. Pasit Suwannapinangkarn, an associate professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, was invited to be a guest speaker at the online symposium on “Eco-friendly Automotive Innovations” organized by the Brain Trust Office, Royal Thai Armed Forces Headquarters (WPAO). The event was chaired by General Dr. Arun Chomchaiyaphas, the head of the Economic and Science Group.
Dr. Pasit’s lecture covered various aspects of eco-friendly automotive innovations, particularly those driven by electric motors, hydrogen gas engines, and hydrogen fuel cells. He highlighted the advantages of using hydrogen energy compared to conventional fossil fuels, and presented examples of electric motor-powered vehicles and modified motorcycles running on hydrogen gas produced through electrolysis. These innovations were developed by faculty members and students from the Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University.
The event aimed to provide insights into sustainable and environmentally friendly transportation solutions, aligning with the global trend towards reducing pollution and dependence on fossil fuels. Dr. Pasit’s lecture showcased the ongoing efforts and contributions of Mahidol University in the field of eco-friendly automotive technology.
