On May 26, 2025, Dr.Natworapol Rachsiriwatcharabul, President of Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon, participated in the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to develop creative workforce skills with the Creative Economy Agency (Public Organization), or CEA, the key agency driving Thailand’s creative economy, and the nine Rajamangala University of Technology campuses. The ceremony took place at TCDC Bangkok, Virtual Media Lab (VML), 4th Floor.
The main objective of this collaboration is to support an ecosystem conducive to the development of the country’s creative economy through the miniTCDC network—one of CEA’s platforms that enhances access to design knowledge. This includes facilitating access to databases, creative spaces, knowledge exchange, curriculum and skill development through interdisciplinary integration, and the application of innovation and technology. Additionally, it aims to increase internship opportunities for students through domestic and international networks and exchange programs, nurturing creative professionals through experiential learning to prepare them for the future creative workforce market.
The signing ceremony was honored by Dr. Chakrit Pichyangkul, Director of Thailand Creative Economy Agency, and Assoc.Prof.Dr.Udomvit Chaisakulkiet, President of Rajamangala University of Technology Rattanakosin and Chair of the Rajamangala University of Technology Presidents’ Meeting, which includes the nine campuses: Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon, Rajamangala University of Technology Rattanakosin, Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep, Rajamangala University of Technology Tawan-ok, Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi, Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, Rajamangala University of Technology Suvarnabhumi, and Rajamangala University of Technology Isan.
This MOU signing marks a significant step in promoting and supporting new-generation creators to confidently enter the future creative workforce, equipped with comprehensive, up-to-date skills that meet the current demands of the creative industry market. It also aims to elevate the standards of Thailand’s creative workforce to be competitive at an international level and highly sought after in both domestic and global markets.
