“Tourism and hospitality play a vital role in driving the nation’s economic and social development. In recent years, Thailand has continued to attract international tourists, with Thai cuisine standing out as a key component of our ‘soft power.’ Thai food reflects the identity, culture, and lifestyle of Thai people, offering visitors an unforgettable and deeply engaging experience.

Each region of Thailand—North, Northeast, Central, and South—boasts unique flavors and ingredients, making our culinary culture not only appealing but also a major asset for enhancing the quality of hotel, restaurant, and catering businesses. Furthermore, food-related cultural tourism activities—such as Thai cooking classes, local market visits, and food festivals—add experiential value and significantly boost the grassroots economy.

This event marks the beginning of a strong collaborative effort between universities and partner organizations to drive sustainable development in the areas of food, tourism, and hospitality.”
