Asst.Prof.Dr.Kasem Manarungwit Leads RMUTP Textile Students in Hands-On Industry Training
Asst.Prof.Dr.Kasem Manarungwit, a lecturer in the Textile Product Design program at the Faculty of Industrial Textiles and Fashion Design, Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP), led second-year undergraduate students from the Computer-Aided Design course on a four-week industry training program at Thai Handicraft Wood Industry Limited Partnership in Samut Sakhon Province.
During the training, students gained practical experience in real-world industry settings, starting from computer-aided design (CAD) software to full-scale industrial production. They also learned to operate various tools and machinery used in the manufacturing process and explored key materials and supplementary components in production. The program emphasized the integration of woodworking with upholstered furniture structures, covering products such as wine racks, bread boxes, cat houses, tables, chairs, food service carts, and more.
Additionally, Ms. Pemika Jantasee, an alumna of the program with over seven years of experience at the company, served as a guest instructor. She provided students with insights into CAD software applications and production processes, sharing her expertise with the next generation of learners.
This hands-on industry training allows students to apply classroom knowledge to real-world work environments, aligning with the course objectives and preparing them for future careers in the field.
