RMUTP Celebrates Its 20th Anniversary with the Theme “20th RMUTP: Keep Going, Be All In”
On January 17, 2025, Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP) commemorated its 20th anniversary under the theme “20th RMUTP: Keep Going, Be All In”. The event, held annually on January 18, featured a Buddhist merit-making ceremony, an award presentation honoring 79 outstanding individuals and contributors, the presentation of honorary pins for academic positions, and various special recognitions. Additionally, a special lecture was delivered on strategies for advancing RMUTP into the future.
RMUTP’s Vision for the Future
In his keynote speech Dr.Natworapol Rachsiriwatcharabul, RMUTP President, reflected on the university’s progress over the past three years and outlined its vision for achieving international standards. RMUTP is committed to developing skilled graduates in science and technology, providing modernized learning systems, and expanding educational opportunities for all groups. Recognizing the rapid technological transformation shaping the world, RMUTP is continuously innovating to remain relevant and competitive.
The university’s future direction focuses on four key areas:
- Academic Development
- Credit Bank System: RMUTP is launching a Credit Bank System in 2025, allowing individuals to accumulate academic credits based on skills, work experience, training, and both formal and informal learning. This initiative aims to expand educational accessibility and support upskilling and reskilling.
- Increasing International Student Enrolments: The university is working to attract more international students, particularly from China, Laos, and Bhutan, recognizing Thailand’s reputation for affordable, high-quality education.
- International College and Cross-Border Collaboration: RMUTP is establishing an International College and fostering global partnerships to promote borderless education.

RMUTP has actively participated in several global university ranking systems, including:
- QS Stars Rating (2023-2026)
- QS University Ranking: Asia 2025
- QS University Ranking: Southeast Asia 2025
- THE Impact Ranking 2024
- UI GreenMetric World University Ranking 2023
RMUTP’s debut participation in THE Impact Ranking 2024 was notable, with over 2,152 universities from 125 countries joining the assessment. Among 77 Thai universities, RMUTP ranked 1st among RMUT universities in Sustainable Cities and Communities (SDG 11), 29th overall in Thailand, and 1st among RMUT universities nationwide. This achievement highlights RMUTP’s strong commitment to sustainable education and societal responsibility.
3. Administrative Advancements
- The university is enhancing internal management systems and diversifying revenue generation strategies.
- The adoption of electronic document management systems aims to improve efficiency and streamline operations.
4. Employee Well-being and Workplace Satisfaction
RMUTP prioritizes employee well-being under the concept of a “Happy University.” Key initiatives include:
- Salary adjustments: Increasing faculty salaries to 1.7 times the government’s base salary and support staff salaries to 1.5 times the base rate.
- Workplace engagement activities: Supporting staff activities to foster a positive work environment.
- Retirement support programs: Ensuring that retired personnel receive proper welfare and benefits.
Goals for 2025 and Beyond
RMUTP remains dedicated to “Keep Going, Be All In,” focusing on making all outlined strategies a concrete reality. The university has also set ambitious sustainability goals:
- Achieving Carbon Neutrality by 2045 and Net Zero by 2060.
- Becoming the first university in Southeast Asia to fully implement Animal Welfare policies under SDG Life on Land.
- Campus-wide adoption of cage-free eggs, ensuring safe and chemical-free food for students and staff.
Additionally, RMUTP is striving to elevate the quality of education, ensuring that its graduates possess strong professional skills and are highly employable. The university upholds its slogan:”You can study anywhere, but at RMUTP, you are guaranteed 100% employment upon graduation.”
Sports and Team-Building Activities
At 1:00 PM, RMUTP hosted a 4-team faculty and staff sports tournament, featuring:
- Futsal
- Chair ball
- Tug-of-war
This initiative, aligned with the university’s Happy University policy, promotes employee health, well-being, and teamwork while fostering a strong sense of community within RMUTP.
