Executives of Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon joined in welcoming the Bangkok Governor at the launch of the “Bobae On TikTok” workshop.

Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon, led by Asst. Prof. Sattha Khaengpenkhae, Assistant to the President for Student Affairs, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Yutthapoom Suwannavej, Dean of Faculty of Liberal Arts, along with RMUTP executives, welcomed Mr.Chadchart Sittipunt, Governor of Bangkok, to preside over the opening of the “Bobae On Tiktok” online business workshop. The event was held at the Hotel and Tourism Practice Building, Faculty of Liberal Arts, RMUTP (Bangkok Commercial Campus) and attended by various representatives, including Ms. Chanida Klaiphan, Head of Public Policy – ​​Thailand, TikTok, Mr. Sanon Wangsrangboon, Deputy Governor of Bangkok, Mr. Ekkarun Amrapal, Assistant Secretary to the Governor of Bangkok and BMA Spokesperson, Mr. Saenyakorn Unmeesri, Director of the Social Development Department, Mr. Kwanmuang Boonprasong, Director of Pom Prap Sattru Phai District, Mr. Itthiphon Ingprasarn, Assistant Director of Pathumwan District, and representatives of Dusit District. The opening ceremony took place on November 30, 2023.

The “Bobae On Tiktok” workshop was conducted in two sessions on November 30 and December 1, 2023, with more than 160 participants, including Bobae market traders from Dusit, Pathumwan, and Pom Prap Sattru Phai districts, Bangkok Brand merchants from the Social Development Department, and interested BMA staff. The workshop aimed to educate entrepreneurs and traders on selling products online via the TikTok platform, thereby stimulating both online and local economies in the Bobae trading area. This aligns with Bangkok’s “Good Economy” policy and TikTok’s mission to unlock business potential and foster opportunities for creators, businesses, and Thai society to drive the digital economy in line with current consumer behavior.

Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon supports collaborative activities with Dusit District Office and TikTok Thailand to develop communities, the economy, and society using technology to enhance city efficiency and achieve true Smart City status.
