Lieutenant General Chainarong Kitrungrueangcharoen, Vice President of the University Council, acting on behalf of the President of Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP), presided over the opening ceremony of the RMUTP Retreat 2023, a workshop on reviewing policy implementation and the strategic development plan for the fiscal year 2024. The event was held from December 20 to 22, 2023, at the Novotel Rayong Rim Pae Resort in Klaeng District, Rayong Province. Dr. Natworapol Rachsiriwatcharabul, RMUTP President, along with university executives and staff, participated in the retreat.
The objective of the retreat was to systematically drive the university’s development. Lieutenant General Chainarong Kitrungrueangcharoen delivered a special lecture on university development strategies. The event also featured special lectures by distinguished university council members, including Ms. Surangkana Wayuparb. The retreat included three main workshop activities: a brainstorming session on driving the university forward with input from council members, top executives, and department heads; a SWOT and performance indicator review of the 13th University Development Plan (2023-2027) led by Ajarn Thanitsorn Jiraphornchai; and project/action plan development sessions led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Damrong Watana and Dr. Prommanee Khamlerd. Participants engaged in discussions using the Business Model Canvas (BMC) framework, culminating in a comprehensive strategy review.
Dr. Natworapol Rachsiriwatcharabul stated that the strategic review identified four primary goals for RMUTP to achieve by the fiscal year 2025:
- QS Star Rating evaluation of university performance.
- Achieving a score of 10,000 points in the UI Green Metric World University Ranking.
- Enrolling 7,000 new students.
- Enhancing the university’s Happy University Index to a level of 4.5.
