Dr. Mathuros Weiangsima, the Dean of the Faculty of Textile Industries and Fashion Design at Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP), led students and faculty members from the Fashion Design and Textile program to provide social outreach services in the areas of cutting, sewing, design, and garment transformation for men’s and women’s formal wear in the community of Rangjit Village, Petchaburi Province. This community is known for its production of white horse fabric. The initiative was part of the Creative Young Designer Season 2 project organized by Thai Beverage Public Company Limited between February 24th and 26th, 2565.
The project aimed to expand market opportunities and develop the community’s products to be more innovative and diverse. It also served as an integration of hands-on learning experiences beyond the classroom curriculum, allowing students to learn about the traditional wisdom of textile weaving and fostering an exchange of knowledge and learning between the community and the university. This collaboration aimed to strengthen relationships, connections, and mutual development efforts.
