RMUTP Lays the Foundation for Preserving Cultural Heritage in Architecture with “Ruean Mor Phon”

Dr. Kongkiat Maha-in, Assistant to the President for Arts and Culture at Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP), presided over the opening of the project to preserve cultural wisdom in architecture, focusing on “Ruean Mor Phon,” on 2 February 2024, at Room 3106, Faculty of Liberal Arts, RMUTP. The project aims to study and document the cultural wisdom embedded in the architecture of Ruean Mor Phon, a significant heritage structure of the university. Through this initiative, knowledge about the history and importance of Ruean Mor Phon is imparted to students, highlighting the value of preserving this architectural legacy for future generations.

The project involved 90 first-year students from the Faculty of Architecture and Design, the Faculty of Textile Industry and Fashion Design, and members of the Arts, Culture, and Environment Club. The participants attended a lecture on the architecture of Ruean Mor Phon, delivered by Dr. Prathom Thammavimol, Director of the Cultural Landscape Group at the Department of Fine Arts, and Assistant Professor Sunthon Wiangseema, a specialist from the Faculty of Architecture, RMUT Thanyaburi. Additionally, the students engaged in practical workshops on drawing and watercolor painting related to the architecture.
