
Students from Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP) have once again demonstrated their creativity and craftsmanship by earning accolades for their innovative tie-dye creations using natural indigo dye. The students participated in a national competition that emphasized the use of eco-friendly materials and creative artistry. Their winning project focused on utilizing natural indigo dye, a time-honored Thai craft, combined with contemporary patterns and techniques to appeal to modern audiences while maintaining a deep connection to cultural heritage.
The project team, guided by expert instructors from the Faculty of Industrial Textiles and Fashion Design, underwent months of preparation, including sourcing sustainable raw materials, studying traditional dyeing methods, and experimenting with innovative designs. Their final collection showcased not only aesthetic appeal but also environmental consciousness, aligning with global trends in sustainable fashion.
