RMUTP Students Win Outstanding Television Documentary Award “Young Thunderbolt Reporters 2023”

Fourth-year students from the Television and Radio Broadcasting Technology program at Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon, Team Reflect, consisting of Mr. Nanthawat Thanawatpaisan, Ms. Asia Duangjam, Ms. Kamollak Sinsuk, and Mr. Thanaphat Phattharathiwat, received the Consolation Prize in the 18th “Sai Fah Noi Awards” 2023 for their outstanding television documentary in the general news category. Their work, titled “Poverty Leads to Children Dropping Out of the Education System,” earned them a trophy and a cash prize of 10,000 THB. The award ceremony, organized by the Thai Broadcasting Journalists Association in collaboration with True Corporation Public Company Limited and the Media Development and Creative Fund, took place at Best Western Hotel, Chatuchak, Bangkok, on December 23, 2023.

Additionally, the RMUTP team “Naree Film” advanced to the final round in the Outstanding Cultural Identity Television Documentary category with their work titled “The Last Breath of Pi Phat (Khun In).” The “Young Thunderbolt Reporters” activity aims to promote and support students’ abilities in program production, providing a platform to showcase their creativity and prepare them for professional careers post-graduation. This year, there were a total of 78 entries, including 60 television documentaries from 13 educational institutions/1 university consortium and 18 radio documentaries from 6 institutions.
