Transmitting the knowledge of heritage from textiles and traditional leaves, promoting tourism in the province of Saraburi.

RMUTP in collaboration with Sa-buri Development Company Limited, organized a practical training activity to develop products for local souvenirs aimed at promoting tourism in the province of Saraburi. The fourth phase of this project focused on creating the identity of community products to boost tourism in Saraburi. The event took place on August 5-6, 2023, at the Aditya Learning Center, Kaeng Khoi District, Saraburi Province. Participants engaged in practical training sessions, learning textile weaving techniques for souvenir production and traditional leaf weaving for the same purpose. The training included utilizing local materials effectively, preparing equipment, understanding the process, and weaving traditional leaves to create finished products. This knowledge transfer empowered participants to disseminate their learning within their communities or continue developing community products. The workshop covered various products such as keychains and cardholders made from Saraburi’s Ma white fabric by Dr. Jaraspim Wangyen, and glass products crafted from discarded leaf stems, instructed by Assistant Professor Narupon Phaisanantanakun from the Faculty of Textile Industries and Fashion Design.
