RMUTP continues the Buddhist tradition by offering candles for the Buddhist Lent.

On July 19, 2024, Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP) organized the annual activity “RMUTP Continuing the Buddhist Tradition of Offering Candles for the Buddhist Lent 2024,” as part of the university’s ongoing project to uphold traditions and celebrate significant days. The event, which was the fifth activity in this project, was presided over by Dr. Natworapol Rachsiriwatcharabul, the President of the university, who led administrators, faculty, staff, and students in offering candles to Phra Thamma Wachirayan (Jiraphon Athijatto), the Abbot of Wat Bowonniwet Vihara, who was the representative of the monastic community. This event aimed to uphold the tradition of offering candles for the Buddhist Lent and to promote Thai arts and culture, as well as to encourage the practice of Buddhist teachings. Additionally, the activity fostered organizational engagement and raised awareness of the duty of Thai people to preserve and continue their cultural heritage. The event was held at Wat Bowonniwet Vihara in Bangkok.
