The Thewet Campus was originally the location of the Raphi Palace or Ratchaburi Palace, which belonged to Prince Raphi of Ratchaburi Direkrit, the Father of Thai Law, and a significant contributor to the nation of Thailand. The land for this palace was granted to him by King Chulalongkorn (Rama V). Throughout his career, Prince Raphi laid the foundations for legal work and the judicial system, and he developed the education system for legal studies. This led to reforms that brought Siamese law on par with those of other civilized nations. Subsequently, numerous legal and justice institutions were established, serving as pillars for the stability of the country. This palace area has since been inherited and transformed into the educational institution now known as Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon. Therefore, this area is a source of great pride and will continue to be a place that produces quality graduates for the industrial sector and drives future progress.
